How do I obtain access for my guest(s) to USAG Schweinfurt?
There are four ways to get access for your guests. Visiting family and friends who qualify, or personnel on official business, may be issued a:
1. Installation
Pass
2. Guest Pass
3. Access Roster
4. Sign-in

NOTE: The garrison commander and his representatives reserve the right to refuse installation access based on his or her determination.
If your visitor is from one of the countries listed on the U.S. Department of States State Sponsors of Terrorism list then it requires prior approval from the Garrison Commander. The following countries are currently on this list: Cuba, Iran, Sudan and Syria.

Installation Pass (Usually used for out of country visitors staying for several days)
Installation Passes are issued at the IACS office typically for those guests visiting for several days and whom arrive during working hours. A Soldier/DoD ID cardholder may be authorized to request an installation pass for visiting friends and family members. U.S citizens can stay in Germany for 90 or less if they are residing in the United States. The Installation Access Control System Office will require the following documentation to process a visitor’s installation pass:
- Installation Pass Application Form (AE Form 190-16A)
- Installation Pass Application Form (AE Form 190-16A) - Sample
- Sponsor's DoD card
- Visitor's flight itinerary (or signed memo from sponsor's unit commander verifying dates of travel)
- Visitor's passport (if applicable VISA or resident permit)
NOTE: Requestor and visitor are to be present when making the request.
1. For guest(s) who reside outside the European Union (EU):
The Soldier/DoD ID cardholder must be registered in IACS and be authorized sign-in privileges.

The Soldier/DoD ID cardholder must accompany guest to IACS Office located in Bldg. 40, Conn Barracks.
Guest(s) must provide a valid passport and flight itinerary.

A VISA may be required for guest(s) who reside outside the EU. For more information, call the IACS office at DSN: 354-8875 or CIV: 09721-96-8875. A VISA is not required for guest(s) who are U.S. citizens.
The Soldier/DoD ID cardholder can complete the AE Form 190-16a online but must present it in person to the IACS Office at Bldg. 40, Conn Barracks.
2. For guest(s) who reside within the European Union (EU):
The Soldier/DoD ID cardholder must be registered in IACS and be authorized sign-in privileges.

The Soldier/DoD ID cardholder must reside on a USAG Schweinfurt Installation with an Access Control Point (ACP).

Guest(s) must be an immediate family member.

The Soldier/DoD ID cardholder can complete the AE Form 190-16a online but must present it in person to the IACS Office at Bldg. 40, Conn Barracks.
Guest Pass (Usually used for short-term visits for access to all Schweinfurt installations)
The purpose of the Guest Pass is to allow Soldiers, civilians and family members to sign in their guests once—usually out of country visitors—at one USAG Schweinfurt installation and grant access to ALL the installations at USAG Schweinfurt. Guest passes valid for 24 hours and can be obtained at any of the USAG Schweinfurt Access Control Points (ACPs). To obtain a guest pass:
The Soldier/DoD ID cardholder must have a valid DoD ID card registered in IACS and present it at the time of sign-in at the Access Control Points.
Non-EU guests (i.e. U.S. guests) must present valid passport at time of sign-in. EU guests must present either a national ID card or passport at time of sign-in.
Upon the completion of visit the requestor must accompany the guest(s) to one of the USAG Schweinfurt Access Control Points to turn-in the guest pass.
Failure to sign-out your guest(s) or turn-in the guest pass prior to expiration will likely result in a suspension of sign-in privileges.
NOTE: Visitors who qualify for an installation pass who arrive after IACS is closed may receive an extended Guest Pass which is valid until 4 p.m. the next IACS duty day. For qualifying details, see Installation Pass.
NOTE: To expedite the process of signing on your guest, print out the Sign-in Agreement, fill it out, and turn it in to the ACP, with your guest, upon arrival.
Access Roster (Usually used for organizational events)
Access rosters are used for organizational events that are non-recurring and/or not regularly scheduled, are generally site specific, and coordinated in advance. Examples include community events where German officials are invited on post.
Access roster requirements are outlined in AE Regulation 190-16. Access rosters by their very nature are temporary and will not be used to circumvent the installation pass process. The maximum time an access roster can remain valid is 60 days.

The Soldier/DoD ID cardholder must be registered in IACS and be authorized sign-in privileges.

The Soldier/DoD ID cardholder must reside on a USAG Schweinfurt Installation with an Access Control Point (ACP).

The Soldier/DoD ID cardholder may complete the AE Form 190-16F online and e-mail it to usarmy.schweinfurt.imcom-europe.list.iacs@mail.mil . Or, hand carry the completed to the IACS Office at Bldg. 40, Conn Barracks.
2. Guest(s) who reside outside the European Union (EU):
The Soldier/DoD ID cardholder must be registered in IACS and be authorized sign-in privileges.

The Soldier/DoD ID cardholder may complete the AE Form 190-16F and e-mail it tousarmy.schweinfurt.imcom-europe.list.iacs@mail.mil with a copy of the guest(s) passport, flight itinerary and VISA if applicable. Or, hand deliver these items to Bldg. 40, Conn Barracks.

Sign-in (Usually used for one-time visits to one Schweinfurt installation)
The purpose of a sign-in is to provide a guest or someone on official business access to one installation. The process of signing in someone can be accomplished at any Access Control Points to any USAG Schweinfurt installation.
The Soldier/DoD ID cardholder must be registered in IACS.
The Soldier/DoD ID cardholder is limited to signing in no more than 4 guests.
The Soldier/DoD ID cardholder must accompany the guest(s) at all times.
The Soldier/DoD ID cardholder must be present to sign guest(s) out 24 hours after sign-in.
The following documents must be presented at time of sign-in: The Soldier/DoD ID cardholder must present his/her DoD ID card that is registered in IACS. Guest(s) must present their passports or national ID cards.
