Intra-Post Moves

 

General Information

Intra-post moves should be kept to a minimum. All intra-post moves are costly to the Government in terms of man-hours, clearing requirements, maintenance, and contribute to low utilization.

Once quarters, suitable for grade and family composition have been assigned, no subsequent move will be authorized. Exception being increase in family size or promotion. Moves of this nature are for the convenience of the individual, at no cost to the Government.

Intra-post moves should be accomplished within 5 working days. Every effort should be made to meet the 5 day rule in order to keep the dual occupancy to a minimum. Move and cleaning of quarters is at the occupants expense.

Soldiers who occupy adequate quarters which are later declared inadequate by competent authority (i.e., structural damage) will be relocated by the Housing office at Government expense. Government directed moves due to building renovation or lease termination will be at Government expense.
