Installation of Satellite Dishes and TV Antennas
General Information
Residents of Government Controlled Housing or Private Rental Housing who desire to install a privately owned satellite dish/TV-antenna must request approval in writing. Requests should be submitted and processed prior to purchasing a satellite dish to avoid unnecessary expenditures in case of possible disapproval.
For Government Controlled Housing the request will be submitted to the Directorate of Public Works for approval/disapproval via memorandum. Each request will be separately evaluated and approval/disapproval will be based on such factors as availability of TV programs by other means.
For Private Rental Housing the request will be submitted to the landlord for approval/disapproval by using a memorandum. The Housing Referral Office will assist you upon request to negotiate for the landlord’s consent.
Upon checkout of quarters, satellite dishes/TV-antennas must be removed and the structure restored to its original condition by the occupant at his/her expense.
